Memory Mats
         
    I was first published in Veterinary Medicine Magazine May 2000) in "Personalized Mats Show Clients You Care", for the Memory Mat I created of an employee's beloved bird named Dave.

"A veterinary assistant at our clinic who is a graphic artist developed a unique way to memorialize clients' pets. She combines photos, pawprints, locks of fur/ feathers, a special poem and other cherished pet items to create a very personalized Remembrance Mat for the owners. These treasured mats often cost less than half of the cost of sending flowers and lasts much longer!" 		 
         
My original work was then later published in Veterinary Technician Magazine for National Veterinary Technician Week in "Honoring Those Who Honor the Profession"
(Oct 15-21, 2000) A client's special memory mat was chosen: a cat named Bugger.

"Veterinary Nurse Assistant Chris pays homage to the animals she loves by creating Remembrance Mats. Although memory mats can be made for the living or deceased pets, the majority are made for the pets that have been euthanized. Each original mat includes pet photos, pawprints, name tags, jewelry and other cherished items. Chris gives these beautiful mats to our clients free of charge. She has created over 365 Remembrance Mats in the past 2 years!
